Appeals court OKs do-not-call registry
A federal appeals court cleared the way for the Federal Trade Commission to implement the national do not call list Tuesday, putting on hold a judge's order that said the registry violated free-speech rights.

The 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals blocked U.S. District Judge Edward Nottingham's order barring the FTC from enforcing the law.

Nottingham concluded the registry unfairly blocked calls from businesses but not charities. In staying his ruling, the appeals court suggested that conclusion was too broad.

1. Good.
I expected this. Nottingham needs to retire and go kiss GOP ass elsewhere. Not in Denver.

As of October the 1st, 31 states had their own "no-call" legislation on the books per the DMA with another 2 enforcing their own laws in 2004.
