Armed men storm Cambodia school

Reports said several men stormed the school in Siem Reap, near the tourist site of Angkor Wat, and are holding about 40 people, including foreigners.

The hostage-takers are said to have demanded money, guns and a car with which to escape.

A police official told Reuters news agency they were negotiating with the men, but had not reached a solution.

discredited by now.

I was thinking Western Cham, but if they're from Kandal province, as one report says, it's just barely possible. Saying they're from Kandal, if they're 2 inches outside of Pnom Penh (?) seems overstated--even if true.

Looking more and more like common thugs, in the absence of any other info.
