NBC affiliate in Sac announces projected defeat of Prop 54

Some good news from California tonight.

KCRA-TV in Sacramento projects that Proposition 54, Ward Connerly's Racial Privacy Initiative, will go down to defeat by 43-57%.

The initiative would have banned the state of California form gathering statistical data by race in areas related to employment, education and law enforcement. Critics said it was unwise to prevent the state from gatering information that would help voters make informed decisions and might even save lives.

None of these fuckers want to spend a nickel on anything but themselves. The only way the "voting public" spends money is when they are looking down end of the barrel of a gun

6. Spending is what gets the state in trouble

in the first place. Last election several propositions were passed that allowed money to go to improving the public/state institutions. Maybe we can wait until we get out of the current financial mess before we spend more on anything else (especially more construction & roads).
