Jazeera TV says to air video from Zawahri
DUBAI (Reuters) - Arabic Channel Al Jazeera said it would air Friday a new video tape from al Qaeda's deputy leader Ayman al-Zawahri, in which he criticized U.S. plans for Middle East reform.

It said that in the video Zawahri also attacked the pro-Western governments of Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

The television briefly aired footage of the Egyptian right-hand man of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden wearing a white turban with a rifle by his side, but no audio could be heard. Al Jazeera said it would later air Friday fuller excerpts of the videotape.

they traced the tape to Iran, but unfortunately the Iraqi's will have already started that war....

This is just the most incredible bunch of bs.

Of course this will increase his numbers..... Shrub that is... he is somehow strong on terrorism still, even though he hasn't accomplished one f*cking thing to do with it.

The Talking point for us should be, He promised us Justice, and there he sits, free to make home videos, and laugh at us. Where are the results Shrub!

5.  with headlines like this: Fewer Americans back 'war on terror'
It was only a matter of time before a tape was released.
It's like clockwork

Fri Jun 17, 9:55 AM ET

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Support for President George W. Bush's "war on terror" is flagging, as his anti-terror laws, prison at Guantanamo and war on Iraq lose popularity three and a half years after the September 11 attacks.

"You're seeing a turn toward skepticism, and a concern about the lingering nature of the engagement in Iraq and also the natural consequence of fading memories of the events that provoked the war on terrorism in the first place," said political scientist Paul Light, of New York University.

The statement of one Republican senator rang eloquent: "We're going to lose this war if we don't watch it," Lindsey Graham said Wednesday, showing the consternation of many lawmakers with the Bush administration's methods.

The House of Representatives, usually loyal to the administration, rebelled late Wednesday by clipping the FBI's surveillance powers, granted in the aftermath of the 2001 attacks as part of the US Patriot Act.

On Thursday, left-leaning Representative Dennis Kucinich and conservative Republican Walter Jones launched an unusual alliance when they co-sponsored a bill backing a timeline for withdrawing US troops from Iraq.

Al-Qaeda number two calls for jihad, slams attacks on Egyptian women

DUBAI (AFP) - Al-Jazeera television aired a new videotape of Al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri in which he called for more "jihad," or holy war, against US forces and Israel, and slammed recent assaults on women protesters in Egypt.

~snip~

He said that the precondition for reform was "to remove incumbent rulers in the Islamic world, and he particularly criticized the rulers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Pakistan," the Qatar-based news channel said.

"Real reform" must be based on the rule of sharia, or Islamic law, Zawahiri said, with the two other conditions being "freedom of Islamic lands" and "freedom of the Islamic nation to run its affairs."

"We cannot imagine any reform while our lands are occupied by crusader forces ... enjoying support, supplies and facilities and using our countries as a springboard to strike at our brothers and sisters in various Islamic countries," Zawahiri said.

The deputy leader of al-Qaeda has appeared in a new videotape and warned Muslim nations against adopting the "US concept of reform".

Ayman al-Zawahri said, in the tape shown on al-Jazeera TV, that any change should be based on Islamic law.

He also warned against the possibility of trying to bring about change through peaceful demonstrations.

This is the first tape he has appeared in since one aired by the Arab satellite news channel in February.

Approval ratings dropping like a rock.
Impeachment process begun.
Social Security sales pitch failed.
Michael Jackson trial over.
Runaway Bride faded away.

TERROR ALERT!
