PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) - Police raided a district of the Haitian capital that is home to supporters of ousted president Jean-Bertrand Aristide on Friday, residents said, accusing the officials of killing two people.

About 12 police officers stormed Bel Air shortly after dawn, firing at several homes, residents said. The district is the site of frequent clashes between police, UN troops and pro-Aristide gunmen.

Angry residents, some armed, later burned a car in protest.

A 17-year-old girl was killed while running for cover inside her apartment, said Jude Pierre, 25, her neighbour. <snip>
