1ST COSCOM SOLDIER KILLED BY IED

LSA ANACONDA, BALAD, Iraq – One 1st Corps Support Command Soldier was killed as a result of wounds sustained from an improvised explosive device attack while conducting a combat logistics patrol northeast of Tall Afar June 20.

The name of the Soldier is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Saw this a bit earlier as an 'oh, by the way' in a CNN report.

So much pain, so much anger, so much destruction and grief with no end in sight.

"Saddam Hussein's forces are considerably weaker today than" in 1991, while "our forces are considerably stronger." He suggested that only Iraqi "weapons of mass destruction" -- presumably chemical weapons -- could "change the equation."
