Cunningham discloses subpoenas as group files FOIA request (Randy "Duke")

Well, looks like the justice process is moving quickly on Randy Duke Cunningham... He's just been served a subpoena now. Something makes me wonder if the Rethugs realize he's a lost cause and want him out of the way soon, so that they can put him behind them and get someone else in his seat instead of waiting too long and have it plague them for the election (special or general)...

Cunningham discloses subpoenas as group files FOIA request

By: Associated Press and North County Times

Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham, under investigation by federal authorities over a real estate deal, told the House Monday that he's been served with four subpoenas in Imperial County, Calif., and plans to comply with them.

Cunningham's announcement was read on the House floor by a congressional clerk as the House convened for the week.

There were no details about the topic of the subpoenas, but a federal grand jury has reportedly convened in California to look into the November 2003 sale of Cunningham's home to Mitchell Wade, president of the defense contracting firm MZM Inc.

Cunningham, a Republican and member of the defense appropriations subcommittee, sold the Del Mar, Calif., home to Wade for $1.7 million and used the proceeds to buy a $2.55 million mansion in Rancho Santa Fe. Wade put the Del Mar house back on the market shortly after buying it and took a $700,000 loss on it a year later.

1. Are we to feel sorry for Duke Stir? Has he come up with the documents
that show that he 'rents' the Yacht?

2. I think you nailed it!
QUOTE: "makes me wonder if the Rethugs realize he's a lost cause and want him out of the way soon,"

Sure looks like it!
This is LIGHTENING fast legal action; practically unheard of.

Compare it to the PLODDING of the NOE case in Ohio, where the authorities kept the crimes hidden before the 04 election....

3. It appears the RE broker who set the price for Duke's home
is a rookie. Per Josh Marshall, the sale of Cunningham's home is the first sale she has ever made as a RE broker.

She's the expert the Duke-stir is relying on to defend the selling price of his home.
