President says he doesn't know if 'leaker' will be caught
By SCOTT LINDLAW
WASHINGTON - President Bush said Tuesday he has "no idea" whether the Justice Department will catch the person who disclosed an undercover CIA officer's identity.

"This is a large administration," Bush said.

But in a brief question-and-answer session with reporters, the president renewed his pledge to cooperate with the investigation to "come to the bottom of this."
"This is a town where a lot of people leak, and I've constantly expressed my displeasure with leaks, particularly of classified information," Bush said. "I hope we can get this investigation done in a thorough way, as quickly as possible."
Bush told reporters at the end of a Cabinet meeting: "You tell me, how many sources have you had that's leaked information that you've exposed? Probably none."
"I don't know if we're going to find out the senior administration official," Bush said. "I don't have any idea. I'd like to. I want to know the truth."
Bush said: "I have no idea whether we'll find out who the leaker is."
But later, he seemed to contradict himself, pledging, "We'll find out."

-----------
bush basically said: people lie, and they've always lied about things like this, so don't expect this administration to be any more forthcoming than any other administration." "this is a large administration." with how many senior administration officals, george? and why can't you use the English language correctly? "how many SOURCES have you had THAT'S LEAKED..." my God, what a fucking numbskull.

3. Bush sees dissent and disagreement...
...and has a temper tantrum, and then his evil pitbull turdblossom does whatever it takes so Georgie won't have to deal with naysayers and critics. Bush is a shitty judge of character if he thinks Rove is a "good man", hell, he's just a shitty judge of character. He surrounds himself with crooks and monsters in some fanciful expectation to look better by comparison, because he's just a stupid, good-hearted incurious, insensitive opportunist. I don't buy it. He's not that stupid. Willfully ignorant perhaps. Plausible deniability is wrapped about often, but he's still an evil f*ck who is excusing criminal acts because they were done on his behalf AND HE DAMN WELL KNOWS IT...

4. if it does come out
it won't be from the document/records the white house recently collected

they are screening/white washing all the info before it goes to Ashcroft for the final coat of "paint"

soooo, once again we have to look to the lapdogs of the media and hope they don't roll over for a belly rub

5. Another example of "Lowered Expectations"
Edited on Thu Oct-09-03 05:32 AM by Sinistrous
The republican ploy that worked so well in the 2000 election farce.

Edited to add:

Have you noticed that Bush has not expressed any hint of outrage, or even concern, that one of the agents in his CIA was neutralized? It looks to me as though he condones the outing of Ms. Plame. He just spouts the "expected" lines of "Of course we will cooperate." and "I hope the investigation concludes soon." No indication that he is even aware that a felony has been committed on his watch by his people.

9. Translation: it was Cheney and I
Numb Nuts is perfectly capable of picking up the phone, calling Karl Rove, saying "Unka Karl, what button on the speed dialer do I push to get the biggest media whore you know?" pressing Number 4, and leaking his ass off.

You know he is. And the fact that they're only questioning aides should prove it.

I don't believe for a second Karl Rove actually called Robert Novak. Bush is a Senior Administration Official--the most senior guy there, even though his developmental age is measured in microseconds. I think he did it so all of his people could claim they didn't.

No one's going to suspect Bush. That's what makes this plan work.
