Attacks Kill 30 in Iraq (1 American soldier)
VOICE OF AMERICA

"Three suicide attacks against Iraqi security forces around the northern city of Mosul and other assaults in Baghdad have killed at least 30 people.

The U.S. military says 15 people died in what appeared to be Sunday's worst attack, at an Iraqi army base outside Mosul. Witnesses say a suicide driver drove into a crowd outside the base and detonated his explosives. Many of the victims were Iraqi construction workers.

Another suicide driver aimed his watermelon truck at a police station in Mosul and set off a devastating explosion that killed six people, and a third bomber walked into the main hospital complex in Mosul and blew himself up, killing four people.

In eastern Baghdad, a mortar round that struck a home killed a woman and two children. Gunmen killed a high-ranking police officer in a separate attack in the capital, and the U.S. military says a roadside bomb killed one American soldier and wounded two others."

2. The U.S. should just leave Iraq - cut and run
What good is the U.S. being there if the troops can not stop these mass deaths and violence? The U.S. should just cut and run and let the Iraqis have at whatever will be. If a civil war will result then at the end of it will be peace.

Maybe it is just something that the Iraqis have to get out of the their system - all the bad blood from being under Saddam.

It seems like this trying to find a peaceful solution is a "cover" for the continued human death and destruction.

Maybe if the Shiite and the Sunni really look at each other with no one in between and see the real possibility of civil war they will not engage in sit down and work out a real peace.

But the state of Iraq has got to change immediately.

3. 1738
I found something very interesting over at icasualties yesterday, I clicked on coalition fatalities by location, and back came a faint map of Iraq.
The map grew bolder and little red explosions started to dot it, they grew in size and frequency, as have the attacks.
If you haven't seen it go watch it, it's morbidly fascinating and really paints a grusome portrait.
Something that needs shoved under the bushler's* nose and all the evil souless fuckwads in this misadministration.

A very tentative thank you for the link. :-(

one after another after another as the clock rolls -

It's really hard to watch. Can't begin to imagine what it would look like if the Iraqi deaths were included, it's too much to try to cope with as it is.

6. Multiple suicide bombers hit Iraq police - army
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=8893618

MOSUL, Iraq (Reuters) - Three suicide bomb attacks killed more than two dozen people on Sunday, many of them from the Iraqi security forces, in the northern city of Mosul as insurgents kept up pressure on the U.S.-backed government.

Within hours a suicide car bomber wrecked a police headquarters, an attack on an Iraqi army base killed up to 16 people and four police were killed when a bomber walked into Mosul's General Hospital and blew himself up.

The third attack, on a police post in the hospital, caused damage to the emergency ward where casualties had been brought from the previous incidents. Six policemen and nine civilians were wounded, police told a Reuters reporter at the scene.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the assault on the hospital but the earlier two bombings were claimed by al Qaeda's Iraq wing, led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.
