1. RIP soldier

More invisible death in the progress of fighting the "last throes" that will last a dozen or more years.

2. Thank God it wasn't an American soldier...
Where is the Nation of Task Force Liberty? I'm getting tired of the spin.

(Kidding aside, It's another tragedy, RIP)

3. "BRING EM ON" shouted the AWOL CHIMPANZEE
As he prepared to tell a couple hundred troops, he appreciated their willingness to die for Halliburton and CO.

4. That's the first in Tikrit in awhile
as far as I remember.

The insurgency is firmly entrenched throughout the Sunni heartland. We've seen deaths today in Balad and Tikrit, heavy violence in Mosul all weekend, Ramadi and Fallujah are still the most dangerous places on earth, and Baghdad is a snakepit. It's a nightmare.

10. I guess someone felt that the deaths would be easier to accept
if they were not "just" an American Soldier, but a member of the honorable "Task Force Liberty," the new improved name for the occupying forces.

11. My name's 1744
I'm a nameless dead soldier, a forgotten number in the malignant virus
of bush imperialism, and i'm dead, stone dead. Its a relief now that
i'm dead, as i don't have to care anymore. I'm free of all that, and
i'm not a soldier, not an american, not human; rather "dead".

Now that i've shed my mortal shell, i am connected to everything in
the universe, and its ecstatic. There is no judge, not saint peter,
just light and this ecstatic dissolution. I've had a good life, and
i'm so grateful for the moment's i've had. And now, it all seems so
far away; already lost in the sands of time along with alexander and
so many other emperors and their dead armies.

My advise to you, the living, is that death is not the end... and we
are eternal in this eternal charade. However, now I am out of character,
molten and profound watching this tragedy from beyond; without judgement
and without care.

Choose life and whatever makes you truly alive, as you too will be
dead soon enough. And whether you are 1745 or 193832737 is irrelevant,
as the lesson of death is the same. It didn't matter.
