12 more die in Iraq, Bush says US troops will stay
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 12:36 PM by maddezmom
BAGHDAD (AFP) - Iraq insurgents took a dozen more lives after President George W. Bush pledged US troops would stay on mission despite mounting casualties and criticism of the conduct of the war.

At least 12 Iraqis died and 19 were wounded Wednesday, including four who were killed when mortar rounds slammed into their homes in the northwestern town of Tal Afar while they slept.

Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari called on Islamic states to show greater understanding of the horror of the violence rocking his country and to take an unambiguous position in the war on insurgents.

US troops on the ground staged a dawn raid west of Baghdad, arresting a Sunni tribal leader close to hardline clerics, while two people were wounded in the southern city of Samawa where Japanese troops are on a humanitarian mission.

4. Bush doesn't care when people die
If we were too hook Shrub up to a machine to register his response to death in Iraq or Afghanistan....he'd wouldn't register a single blip.

5. Wow. I posted last night that I thought the speech had turned public opini
against Bush overnight. Yahoo's headline seems to bear that out.

6. If you look at Bush's face
which is shown at the top of the article, I see a man, riddled with fear. Especially the right side of his face shows anxiety, failure, tension.

Thanks for posting the link.
