At 6:18 a small plane came within 10 miles of the Capitol. Fighter planes were scrambled and the plane was diverted to the Winchester Airport.

Then they went back inside.

32. I was actually watching the Senate on C-SPAN

when they evacuated. It was pretty weird watching as it happened. I figured right away it was either a bomb scare or another plane gone astray. ABC World News Tonight didn't even mention it when it started right after the evacuation.
