Spain has sent the forensic team that analyzed the bombs used in last year's Madrid transit system attack to London to help British investigators.

The Washington Post said the two attacks share many similarities. Both were aimed at mass transit systems during morning rush and appear to have involved timed bombs concealed in briefcases or backpacks and left on trains.

The Madrid terror attacks killed 191 people March 11, 2004.
