Three dead in Iraq suicide blast

A suicide car bomber has killed at least three civilians in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk, police say. A further 10 were wounded in the attack, which took place near a hospital and municipal building.

Police spokesman Colonel Yadigar Mohammed said it was not clear what the target had been, as there were no police or military patrols in the area.
Meanwhile, reports are coming in of a suicide attack on an army recruitment centre in the capital, Baghdad.

A suicide bomber with explosives strapped to his body wounded dozens of people at an Iraqi army recruiting center in western Baghdad on Sunday and killed as many as 20, police and hospital sources said.One police source said 21 were killed and 31 wounded, according to preliminary estimates. A second police source said casualties were in the dozens. A source at a nearby hospital said it was treating 34 wounded and there were many dead.
