HOUSTON (AP) - Four men kicked in the front door of a house and kidnapped six illegal immigrants at gunpoint, including a 6-month-old baby, authorities said.

Sheriff's Sgt. James Parker said a search was under way Monday for the immigrants, who recently arrived in the United States.

Parker described the missing as the 6-month-old, wearing a white jumper; her mother and father, who are between 30 and 40 years old; and another couple in their 40s. All were Hispanic.

33. Law still applies to any HUMAN being residing in this country

no matter his/her status. Putting matters of immigration aside, the law is supposed to apply the same to non-citizens, legal or not. Otherwise you are creating a sub-caste of people.

Not because they are "illegal" it means that Americans can do anything they want to them. It's inhuman to think that because of their status they can be abused, kidnapped, tortured or killed.

blame the corporate system that hires them. And the government that encourages it.

They also have families to feed...just like you and I.

And by the way, I have been unemployed for almost six months due to outsourcing...but I don't blame the workers who took my job..instead I am trying to work to change the system that allowed the corporation to take American Tax breaks to hire overseas workers. And the awful health care system we have that doesn't compare to the ones overseas - so it's cheaper for corps to go there.

Houston law enforcement groups do NOT pretend to be La Migra--so crime victims or witnesses will not be afraid to talk to them. That's HPD policy; apparently the Sheriff's dept works the same.

Of course, the Minutemen are appalled. When they show up in Houston this October--after the worst of the heat--I'm sure Houstonians will let them know what we think of them.
