Big News Network.com Monday 11th July, 2005 (UPI)

U.S. trade officials in China reported some progress Monday after talks with Beijing officials on trade issues.

The Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade said China agreed to a number of measures designed to step up enforcement of intellectual property rights, including increased criminal prosecutions and the criminalization of exporting counterfeit goods.

China also agreed to accede to the World Intellectual Property Organization Internet treaties by June 2006 and combat Internet piracy.

And if these guys believe China is going to do this well they are such fools!!!

3. intellectual property? how many jobs does that keep in the US?
once again the working man and woman were sold down the river. the only people making out on intellectual property are companies who would lose revenues otherwise. this crap did not save jobs, all it did was protect profits for stockholders.

no jobs were saved, just money for those already wealthy enough to own stock.
