Kucinich spokesman Doug Gordon described Harper as a red-haired British citizen who works at a monetary policy think tank in Chicago...

During his 2004 presidential campaign, the twice-divorced Kucinich boldly declared his single status and told New Hampshire audiences he was seeking a mate.

Dozens of women vied for a date with him during a contest arranged by a New Hampshire political Web site, but nothing romantic evolved from Kucinich's breakfast date with its winner...

Love Dennis Kucinich. I met him at Dulles Airport about 6 weeks ago and he was such a wonderful man. Instead of basking in my obvious admiration for him, he went on to ask about me, where I was from and was pleasant enough to introduce me to another Congressman, a Moderate Republican (Johnson I think) from Illinois.

Kucinich was just out there hanging out in the lobby waiting for a flight to Cleveland I guess. I only spoke with him for about a minute and shook his hand, but it felt good to be in the presence of a real American hero.

77. Kucinich was a great inspiration to me, early in the 2004 presidential

campaign. He was so amazing in his commitment to peace, in his intelligent analysis of economic issues, his uncompromising working class perspective, and his statements of PRINCIPLE on the fundamentals of our democracy and constitutional government! So amazing and so refreshing to have the truth spoken! It's too bad that his campaign didn't pan out for the very silly reason that he wasn't telegenic. (We have so much to cure in our sicko political system run by the news monopolies!) But it gave me hope--and gave many of us hope--in a very dark time.
