Bush hails new Iraq currency
US President George W Bush has hailed the launch of a new currency for Iraq as "an important milestone" for the country's economy.

In his weekly radio address, President Bush said the new dinar symbolised Iraq's revival, which he insists is progressing despite a steady stream of bad news.

His address is an attempt to bolster support for his policies in Iraq, amid increased doubts among the American public and politicians over the financial cost of the occupation and the number of US casualties.

From October 15, Iraqis have three months to swap an estimated four trillion dinars, bearing the face of former leader Saddam Hussein.

8. Take a close look at this NEW Dinar - sum thinking in der !

>>> Inside the Circle on the left - Five IRAQ's (symbolic?)
- which resembles the UN leaves sort of
-is a faded image of the Ronald McDonald Clown (VERY Symbolic)

- Text at the TOP reads "Liberated by the United States of America

- Text at the bottom reads "Democratic Republic or Iraq

- Inside the "hearts" around the TOP text is "03"
- presumbly the year of Iraq's "Liberation"

- Text underrneath peeps with hands on head reads
"All your base are belong to us"
(Obviously written by someone familiar with Junior's Grammar skills)

I might have missed something
- but I took a close peek at it in PhotoShop

10. That's terrific progress
You people are too cynical. As I understand it, Iraqis never had any currency at all before the invasion, and they had to trade things using piles of mud and sticks. The mud would dry out during the hot season, and the economy would come to standstill.

Now, all because of the Bush invasion, they can buy guns and munitions and other great stuff with the new currency, if they ever get jobs again.

No doubt about it, things are really looking up. I know I'm rethinking my whole view of this.

Not.

11. I hope the "Coalition of the Willing" pays for this instead of taxpayers..
Edited on Sat Oct-11-03 10:40 PM by Dr Fate
...I would hate to think that US taxpayers who believed Bush/media when they told us we had "support" were being lied to...

12. Coalition - WHAT Coalition ? ? ?

. . . . HERE"s just a teaser of the info

I've had this info/flyer since March @) 2003 and it's been on my "War Wall" ever since.

From the Flyer:

What Coalition ?

The US and Britain cannot find “the willing” to lead
Washington says that in the war on Iraq they lead a coalition of 45 nations.

This is a transparent sham:

• 15 of the 45 are too ashamed to be named.

• 24 of the rest are sending NO troops. This includes Spain!

• 4 are sending token numbers (less than 300 at most).

<snip>

The whole Flyer (one page only) is available in .pdf Format HERE

13. Does the money
have his face on it? IN GEORGE WE TRUST. Or, how about Rum-filled. What a legacy for old Don. Or, they could have a group photo of the 'Cabal' on the back side, in order to give everybody credit.

14. What does it look like
And the dollar probably buys a lot of dinar. Great place to go on vacation to if there wasn't so much violence.
