Rice again warns North Korea (to give up its nuclear programs)

"U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Tuesday that upcoming six-party talks to end North Korea's nuclear threat will fail unless Pyongyang indicates it is willing to abandon its nuclear weapons."

Hmm...I wonder what our dear "secretary of state" would say if anyone else asked Bush to give up HIS new nuclear programs (bunker busting nukes, etc.)?

1. Condoleezza has a PhD in Sovietology...
which makes her as relevant today as someone who has a PhD in Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods*.

*Bo Donaldson were a fairly popular group in the early-to-mid-70s, with Top-40 hits such as "Who Do You Think You Are?" and "Billy, Don't Be a Hero" to their credit.

8. It's true, we are indeed restarting production
We are currently developing new bunker-buster nuclear weapons (and some have even said, with the intent to strike first with them). To do this, since the US is projected to run out of weapons-grade plutonium in the near future, DoE is planning to restart production of plutonium-238

4. Nice diplomacy, Condi
North Korea just announced that they would give up their nukes if they didn't feel threatened by the United States.

Why respond in an unnecessarily belligerent way?

Why not say now is a time when productive and satisfactory talks can take place...

with a stick, because that dog would then spend the rest of his days WAITING for the chance to get out and find you...and he will get out.

10. Or what?
What are we going to do to stop North Korea if they want a nuke (answer=it would require Full Scale War)
Furthermore, if they do get a nuke they are guaranteed not to get attacked by us.

North Korea knows this...lose lose situation here. :scared:

We should have spent our money on trying to defang north korea first.

11. Rice is a perfect bully
She never listens to a single word and continues to threaten no matter how many capitulations. No Korea wants assurance we won't nuke them. Why can't we give that to them? It doesn't seem like too much.
