Five blasts reported in Baghdad suicide bomb spate
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/GRA539044.htm

BAGHDAD, July 15 (Reuters) - Five suicide car bombs blew up in different locations across Baghdad within hours of each other, including two attacks on Iraqi military patrols that police sources said killed six people and wounded more than 20.

Eyewitnesses said at least one of the bombers struck a U.S. convoy, although there were no immediate reports of American troops among the casualties.

Firefighters tried to douse the flames near one blast site targetting Iraqi troops in the north of the city, where several cars were destroyed and bloodsoaked survivors argued with police.

"The (Iraqi) army vehicles were parking right here when a speeding Daewoo car approached and exploded. It split in two parts," eyewitness Raed Salman said.

8. At least 12 dead in six suicide bombings in Iraq
BAGHDAD (AFP) - Six suicide bombers blew themselves up in Baghdad and northern Iraq, killing at least 12 people and wounding more than 50 in attacks targeting Iraqi and US forces, Iraqi security officials said.

US forces, for their part, spoke of as many as 20 Iraqis killed and 23 wounded in just three blasts in the capital on Friday.

But there was no confirmation from Iraqi sources which are the only ones to systematically track civilian casualties.

Five of the attacks were carried out with cars in Baghdad and the sixth, in the north of the country, by a man on a motorbike who killed two Iraqi soldiers and wounded a third at a checkpoint in the town of Al-Sharqat.

9. It's 119F in Basrah, 116F in Baghdad. I'm sure we won't see any Repukes
in Iraq and/or being filmed during the day if they do land at Saddam International scurry off to a hole in the ground.
