UK-based Saudi opposition group mocks U.S. move
LONDON (Reuters) - The head of a British-based Saudi opposition group laughed off the U.S. government freezing his organization's assets, saying on Friday he had no assets and no links to al Qaeda.

~snip~

Stuart Levey, U.S. Treasury Undersecretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, said Fagih also used MIRA to provide al Qaeda with recruits and public relations help.

Fagih, an exiled Saudi dissident, denied the allegations and said Washington was targeting him because of the threat he and his organization posed to the Saudi government, a U.S. ally.

He said MIRA aimed to topple the Saudi monarchy by peaceful means.

"First of all there are no assets to be frozen. It's very much a symbolic decision," Fagih told Reuters.

1. The cost of the attack in England was very minimal. Freezing assests...
Does not make it that much more difficult to carry out such horrendous attacks.

2. Brilliant!! The House of Bush protecting the royal asses in the House of
Saud from the poor citizens of Saudi Arabia trying to overthrow
their corrupt princely family. The BFEE using the London attacks to
quell the popular uprising in Saudi Arabia and thereby maintaining those lucrative oil contracts for themselves. Brilliant! Bush has
this terra thing down pat.

3. Saudi financing of terrorism comes from banking and business
...leadership. It's objective is religious/cultural colonialism. Any dissident group opposed to the Saudi regime is not part of the terror financing network. Saudi establishment support for terrorism is pervasive throughout their society, just as it is in Pakistan. This is the dirty secret of the so called war on terror. Terrorism is waged primarily by our allies, who have our military, economic, and intelligence support.
