Iraq: Muslims Must Accept U.S. in Iraq
PUTRAJAYA, Malaysia -- Iraq's foreign minister said Monday that Muslim nations need to accept the reality that the U.S.-led occupation of Iraq will last for a while, and he urged them to contribute peacekeeping forces and money.

Hoshyar Zebari, representative of the U.S.-picked Iraqi Governing Council, said any American withdrawal would be gradual. He said other countries had reacted coolly to his request for soldiers to help stabilize Iraq.

"I don't think there is any desire by the Muslim countries to send troops," Zebari said. "I mean, that's the feeling I'm getting from my initial contacts."

At the outset of the weeklong meetings Saturday, senior officials from the 57 members of the OIC -- the world's biggest Islamic organization -- countries urged the "eviction" of U.S. troops from Iraq -- something Zebari said would not happen in the near future.

2. What a disgusting American puppet, and what a traitor to his own people!
Hoshyar Zebari, representative of the U.S.-picked Iraqi Governing Council

The French shot people like Zebari at the end of World War II for collaborating with the German occupation. The Norwegians executed Vidkin Quisling for establishing a pro-German puppet regime in Norway. The name Benedict Arnold is still equated with treason in American history. Hoshyar Zebari has just written his name alongside the Quislings of this world. May he face justice as Quisling did!

Vidkun Quisling: Norway's Benedict Arnold

AS IN ALL the other occupied countries, the Nazi power profited from the support of local sympathisers. During a visit to Hitler in Berlin in the winter of 1939-40, the leader of the national socialist Nasjonal Samling Party, Vidkun Quisling, had pointed out how valuable it would be for Germany to occupy Norway. Immediately after the invasion, on the morning of April 9, 1940, he proclaimed himself the new head of the government and ordered the Norwegian armed forces to stop battling the Germans.

4. Iraq does not have a foreign minister
Because Iraq does not have an autonomous government. Is this part of the new roll-out?

Memo to headline writers: Use "Iraq" as the subject of a sentence when describing actions by our comprador "governing" "council"? That's rich...

September 23 - Furloughed Iraqi Information Minister Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf (M.S.S.) gives new interview with Abu Dhabi TV in which he makes maybe the first accurate statement of his public career:

"Saddam believed that he will lose the war if it erupts."

What a shocking prediction.
