BAGHDAD (AFP) - Iraqi Oil Minister Ibrahim Bahr al-Uloom and an aide to Governing Council member Ahmad Chalabi escaped an assassination attempt in Baghdad hours after a deadly bombing in the capital, a council source said.

"Bahr al-Uloom and Nabil al-Musawi, Chalabi's deputy on the Governing Council, escaped an assassination attempt in the Mansur district at around 7:30 pm (1630 GMT) Sunday," the source told AFP, requesting anonymity.

"The two men were traveling in the same car in a five-vehicle convoy when the motorcade came under fire from a speeding car," he said.

Bodyguards in the convoy opened fire on the attacking car, in which three men armed with Kalashnikovs were traveling, but the car sped away.

3. We just need more propaganda to solve these problems!
CNN, ABC, MSNBC, CBS, and Fox will solve this by playing up how great Bush says everything is going.

Who cares what actually happens, as long as we have Bush propaganda to keep us happy?

5. Iraq oil minister, Chalabi aide escape assassination bid
Remember folks, the warmongers said that the Arab News Media Aljazeera, and the other Arab News, were responsbible for anti-Us attacks and was encouraging violence against coaltion troops,so they had them kicked out, because all they were showing, according to the warmongers, were bad news.

The fact is now, there has been a lot more violence,a lot more bad news, and the attacks are more deadly than ever before,so who are they blaming now? any other news media that is reporting the facts of the situation. They only want good news reported.
I remember when they were happy and gloating, when our smart bombs were reducing Iraq to rubbles, they did not mind showing the world the devastating impact our violence had against the Iraqis, both military and civillian, they were remarking how great our technology and so called smart bombs, were just disintigrating Iraqis non stop
for days on end.
Rummy and Rice, thought it was just so nice.
Wolfie,Rove,Bush and Pearle.
were singing, Oh its a beautiful world.

Now reality has set in,and the once arrogant and invincible cabal, and den of foxes that reside in washington,is swimming and choking in a quagmire of their own making.Trying to put positve spin on everything, and trying to make their grevious lies that started this war accepetable
It is just too bad that our troops have to pay for their war for oil.
I think those on the handpicked Iraqi council, who opposes Bush policies such as briniging in Turkish troops, have to watch their backs, and be carefull of 'unexpected accidents.
