34% Say Rove Should Resign

July 20, 2005--Thirty-four percent (34%) of American adults believe that Presidential Aide Karl Rove should resign. A Rasmussen Reports survey found that 21% disagree while most (55%) are not sure.

Democrats, by a 49% to 9% margin, say that Rove should resign.

Rove has been accused by leading Democrats of leaking the name of a CIA operative. Thirty-five percent (35%) believe they are accusing Rove because they believe he is guilty. An equal number believe partisan politics is the motivation.

Democrats, by a 54% to 14% margin, say the accusations are being made because Rove is guilty. Republicans, by a 57% to 17% margin, believe partisan politics are responsible. Those not affiliated with either party are evenly divided.

15. Shortly after pardoning Rove

Bush will send his henchmen to the senate to enlist his lockstep puppets in convincing Justice to investigate Fitzgerald. This would be in keeping with the Bushfascio philosophy of government. Kerry's a war hero? Tell the world he's a lying coward with stolen medals. Fitzgerald is an honest prosecutor? Bush and Rove have likely already done their oppo research and are ready to launch as soon as any indictment is announced.

Fitzgerald needs to look hard at Bush as AT LEAST an undicted co-conspirator in obstruction of justice. Did Bush cover for Rove in his FBI interviws? Did he fail to disclose all that he knew when Fitzgerald "chatted" with him?

Chimp won't even think about asking him to leave.. if anything happens legally then it will probably be the classic standby excuse: Rove saying he is stepping down because it is distracting from the prez's message and chimp thanking him for his service, blah, blah, blah.

Hopefully, by the time all is said and done, chimp will say to Rove "we should have just gone back to the ranch in November"...maybe we can put some barbed wire up and a guard tower in preparation for their final trip to the ranch?
