Bermuda limits machetes, the 'weapon of choice'
http://www.swissinfo.org/sen/swissinfo.html?siteSect=143&sid=5956371&cKey=1121901647000

HAMILTON, Bermuda (Reuters) - Bermuda's government passed a law on Wednesday that would imprison people for at least three years for carrying machetes and similar bladed weapons in public to stem rising gang violence in the British territory.

Earlier this month, two girls were stabbed aboard a pleasure cruiser as rival gangs fought after the boat was hijacked and a knife was held to the captain's throat.

In an incident last year, gangs interrupted a soccer match and fought with machetes, knives and swords before hundreds of spectators, including some government ministers.

Attorney General Larry Mussenden, introducing the bill in the Senate on Wednesday, said violent crime rose 13 percent last year on the mid-Atlantic island, a tourist destination with 62,000 residents and a booming international business sector.

3. Will the National Machete Association (NMA)
support candidates who want to privatize social security, end welfare, medicare, and medicaid, cut workers wages, transfer the tax burden from the wealthy, to the working class, help the wealthy class perpetuate itself, bust unions, cut taxes for large corporations and wealthy individuals, but not working people, and also turn their back on scores of millions of Americans with inadequate medical insurance? You know, like the NRA does here in America.

4.  bermuda people: what % share the "booming international business sector"?
what % of the 62,000 residents are more than maids and dishwashers for the bigg bucks people who come and go to manipulate their wealth?
