*BAGHDAD - Gunmen seriously wounded one police officer and killed his wife in Baghdad one day after their wedding, a source at Yarmouk hospital said.

*BAGHDAD - Two policemen were killed and one injured when gunmen opened fire on their car in New Baghdad district, a police source said.

*BAGHDAD - One traffic policeman was shot dead and another was wounded when gunmen attacked them in the Mashtal district of Baghdad, police said.

*FALLUJA - One U.S. soldier was killed by a roadside bomb on Thursday during combat operations in Falluja, 50 km (32 miles) west of Baghdad, a military statement said.
