Will Daley surrender?
http://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-daley24.html

Aldermen who once cowered at his feet are now talking openly -- at least among themselves -- about his political survival and possible replacements.

A City Hall Cabinet filled with stand-ins for those who have walked the plank are afraid to say a word or make a move for fear they, too, could be thrown overboard.

With every new indictment, cooperating witness or scandal-induced headline, efforts to recruit blue-ribbon replacements become infinitely more difficult.

For a mayor who, not too long ago, was riding the waves, Richard M. Daley suddenly finds himself captain of a sinking ship.

2. Could he be weakened over the way he messed with Durbin?
I wouldn't mind seeing some back up for dems who are undeservedly skewered by other dems.

There are lots of allegations in that article- and Daley's not my favorite, but it's spooky how allegations can do in a dem. A repub scandal has everyone digging in to the most minute letters of the law.

8. Seems kinda targeted doesn't it
I really dont want our state to go red again. I just tell myself it's the issues that matter and hold my nose. Fortunately the gop is majorly messed up out here thats the one thing the dems got going for them.

14. I think a lot of Dems are getting sick of him too; way too much corruption
I would like to see another Dem take him on. I don't know what to think about Jackson Jr, - can't stand his father.

10. Yes Durbin didn't deserve his mayor saying the exact opposite
regarding Iraq. Damn Daley for doing that!

5. Daley's going down, and GOOD RIDDANCE
He's corrupt. He's a crook, and he needs to go down eery bit as much as Ryan needed to go down and Bush needs to go down.

Patrick Fitzgerald deserves praise. He goes after the corruption with a vengeance.

6. Little Dick sure isn't the man his Dad was.
Big Dick would NEVER have been in this position. It's just another illustration of the fact the Little Dick is nowhere near the political master his Dad was.

We may finally be seeing an end to the Daley dynasty in Chicago. What scares hell out of me is the memory of Bilandick and the fear of another one like him...

7. Thank God!!!
I don't know a single co-worker that voted for him. Well, maybe one, but he somehow new the "family". The city is so ripe with corruption at this point, on all levels... And the airport being torn up for "parkspace" (now read: casino hopeful) in the middle of the night was just the most blatent display of his abuse.

12. No, but I'm sure Dicky Durbin is busy preparing another apology!
"I'm sorry for thinking the sky is blue" or some other equally newsworthy item.
