2 dead, 10 injured as car bomber hits Baghdad hotel

Two people were killed and 10 wounded when a suicide car bomber blew himself up outside a popular hotel in central Baghdad on Monday morning, an interior ministry official said.
"The incident occurred at 0615 am outside the Al-Sadeer Hotel in central Baghdad," the official said.

He said the bomber exploded the car at the gates of the hotel.

The hotel has been targeted previously by insurgents as it is used by foreign security officials.

Iraq is reeling under a bombing blitz, with a suicide bomber blowing up a truck full of explosives outside a police station in southeast Baghdad on Sunday killing 25 dead and wounding 33.

BAGHDAD, July 25 (Reuters) - A suicide bomber blew up a minivan packed with explosives at a checkpoint near a central Baghdad hotel on Monday.

Police sources, citing initial reports, said the attack had killed at least five people and wounded 10.

The unusually large explosion as dawn broke was followed by the sound of shooting, Reuters journalists nearby said.

Black smoke could be seen rising from near the area of the Sadir hotel, which houses some foreign contractors and is close to the central Firdoz square.

We've had like 1 or 2,000 "suicide bombings" in Iraq so far. I find that really hard to believe. Who are these cats? How can they possibly find so many suicide bombers? I'm not buying it.

I've caught a few reported as suicide body bombs yet the official pics published show the vehicle ripped and stretched from the inside out.

Here it is. This was supposedly the 2 suicide belt bombers who waded into a crowd of recruits. Many dead, like 80? Last month. Remember. Reported on all Whore sources. Well look at this car. It's been obviously torn from the inside outward.
