Howard makes surprise visit to Iraq
Prime Minister John Howard has begun an unannounced visit to Baghdad on the last leg of a trip that has taken him to the United States and the United Kingdom
Mr Howard has held talks with Iraqi Premier Ibrahim Jaafari.

"They discussed the constitution, they discussed the presence of multi-national forces," a spokeswoman in Mr Jaafari's office said. Mr Howard is also expected to visit some of the 900 troops in Iraq, although the details of his visit have been kept secret for security reasons.Previously, Mr Howard has refused to spell out a timetable for withdrawing troops from Iraq.

He says it would depend on a range of factors including the ability of local security forces to work effectively against the insurgency and of the democratic structures to function.

2. Suprise visit

Isn't it funny how all these people in power make unannounced visits to Iraq. Why don't these ass wipes make an announced visit for a change? Fear of getting killed from the mayhem they caused perhaps? The real headlines should read: Another 'world leader' sneaks into Iraq and hides in the green zone.
