ALGIERS, July 25 (Reuters) - Algeria has pulled its last diplomatic staff out of Baghdad following the kidnapping of two envoys last week, a minister said on Monday.
The move is another blow for the U.S.-backed government as a series of guerrilla attacks on foreign missions have driven diplomats from Baghdad and hurt Iraq's efforts to gain support among Arab states.
"I can confirm that there are no longer any Algerian diplomats in Baghdad," Abdelkader Messahel, Minister in charge of African Affairs, told reporters in Algiers.
"The third diplomat has left along with the family of kidnapped diplomat (Ali Belaroussi)," he said later but declined to say when the envoy left.
