Laura Bush Hires New Press Secretary
snip.....

Gordon Johndroe, now with the Department of Homeland Security, will take over as Mrs. Bush's spokesman, replacing Noelia Rodriguez, who has resigned, according to White House spokesman Scott McClellan.

Johndroe is a former assistant White House press secretary and worked with the media during President Bush's 2000 presidential campaign.

1. "Resigned?"
Or was she trying to keep Laura from dipping into the Xanax so frequently?

2. Why do I think that Laura Bush makes no decisions at all?
I do not think that Laura Bush "hires" anyone. It is extremely funny to me to imagine this frump of a non woman having any say in anything in this government. Sorry, but Laura Bush is as dumb as doorknobs--as dumb as the rocks in the Kennebunkport compound.

4. reading shrub's "lump in the bed" letter really set off a feeding
frenzy here in DC....replacing Noelia Rodriguez occurred shortly after that revelation.....eyebrows were raised, due to the abnormal relationship between condi and shrub, coupled with the 'lump in the bed' insult from the pResident to his wife....

In the words of one official, Rice would "crack the whip, frankly."

Bush is personally close to Rice. She spends countless hours at his side -- in the White House, at Camp David and on his ranch in Crawford, Tex. -- forging a bond that has transcended the statutory position of national security adviser.

A senior State Department official -- voicing an opinion that few in the government disputed -- said: "If you want a one-word description of the NSC since January 21, 2001: dysfunctional."

Ivo Daalder, who for five years has run a Brookings Institution-University of Maryland study project on the NSC, said Rice is "closer to the president than any other national security adviser has ever been, including Kissinger to Nixon."

5. It's so bizarre
at the one extreme this really diminishes the talent of women in politics and on the other hand it really insults the "little woman" bwhahahah--Laura Bush--the dumb frump, the cute "little librarian" who plays that role so well because that is what "caught" her the man--she actually is being insulted here and most probably does not care at all because even if she did care, she would not be at all paid attention to because Laura, our dumbest first lady, is artificially manufactured as intelligent but actually quite dumb and made totally irrelevant , as we know-and the ugly, gap toothed, gap brained, black poster woman, Condolezza--the woman with the FUD degree who actually cannot think beyond her own FUD self preservation and who is an insult to intelligent, thinking and vibrant, alive, women the world over, and who has no idea of anything relating to government by the people, well, if she takes to George's bed-either figuratively or in reality-it is indicative of his unmanly, desperation and her whore like tendencies. A real threat to Laura--No?
Who will come to the rescue? The Dali Lama? Do we even care anymore about how we navigate this life? Does it matter anymore to teach our children what the meaning of life is?

7. Why does she need one?
We never see her, never hear from her - she went to Paris and we heard a little about that, but not much. Personally, I think she should do something to earn her keep - some work - something. Hear she has asked for $150 million of the $87B for a hospital in Iraq and quite a few million from somewhere to beautify Pennsylvania Ave. Will she get it? Can she open her mouth to ask for it? We don't have to worry about her being a workaholic.
