Venezuelan Armed Force (FAN) Inspector General, Major General Melvin Lopez Hidalgo has ruled out any reactivation of the the agreement with the US Drugs Enforcement agency (DEA), despite rumors of a breakthrough accord between DEA and the Venezuelan Commission against the Illegal Use of Drugs (Conacuid).
The General complains that DEA has not take Venezuela's war on drugs seriously and has been guilty of " not so clear or transparent" actions, such as controlled deliveries, as well as trying to impose its parameters of workon its partners. <snip>
Venezuelan Defense Minister, 3-star Admiral Orlando Maniglia says he will make no comment until the National Guard (GN) has completed its investigation. <snip>
