WASHINGTON, July 31 (Reuters) - Resolving Palestinian demands for an independent state and ensuring that U.S. troops leave Iraq will remove the justification for further terrorist attacks, Egypt's prime minister said on Sunday.

Ahmed Nazif said giving Palestinians their own homeland and ending the Iraqi conflict would nullify key claims seen as underlying extremist bomb attacks in the Middle East and Europe.

"We need to get the Palestinians their homeland. We need to make sure that the Iraqis' situation is resolved, that the Americans get out of Iraq," he said.

"The Iraqis have legitimate rights. The Palestinians have legitimate rights. And we need to address those rights and make sure that we solve those, so that we don't give those terrorists any prejustification for what they claim they're doing," Nazif said in an interview on CNN's Late Edition.

2. RIGHT ON!!
There are 2 ways the US can stop terroism:

1) Deal seriously with the issues raised by terrorists and the citizens of the nations in which they live - poverty, brutal dictarors and regimes, oppression, one-sided foreign policy

2) The US can STOP BEING A TERRORISTS STATE and support true democracy around the world instead of propping up hideous, brural dictators.

Saying this in the west will get you ridiculed and called excuse maker, but in a place like Egypt where they actually know what is going on its officially recognized.

5. other major problems exist
for example, we continue to prop up corrupt and despotic regimes like saudi arabia, kuwait, and of course egypt. However the egyptian pm is correct as far as it goes.

The problem of course is that no american administration, and certainly not the current one, is going to risk the political damage that would be self inflicted by appearing to appease the furr'n terrsts. So instead of defusing the situation we are ratcheting up the meddling in lebanon, the meddling in syria, the meddling in iran, and finishing up the construction of 14 permanent bases in iraq to house the soldiers who will guarantee that the troubles continue for the forseeable future.

Eventually some extremist group will manage to get their hands on a weapon that causes enough damage that our deranged response will include nuclear destruction of major cities.
