REUTERS: U.S. Calls for Wednesday UN Vote on Iraq Draft
U.S. Calls for Wednesday UN Vote on Iraq Draft
Tue October 14, 2003 11:19 PM ET

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - U.S. Ambassador John Negroponte announced he would call for a U.N. vote on Wednesday on a draft U.N. resolution aimed at getting broader international backing for American operations and reconstruction in Iraq.
"We will be having a vote tomorrow afternoon on this draft Iraq resolution," Negroponte told reporters late on Tuesday. "I think we have made every effort possible to take into account the views of various delegations."

The resolution is virtually assured of adoption. But it is unclear whether key council members, such as France, Germany, Russia and China would support the measure or abstain.

2. Hear, hear!
Especially after the atrocious veto today on the Israeli apartheid wall, the timing of this vote is appalling.

The world will be a better place if Bush is blocked.

4. Virtually assured of adoption, except......

Except for the members of the council with veto ability, everybody else will be for it! Does anybody else remember the movie "Caddy Shack", the scene about the Babe Ruth candy bar in the swimming pool. I am thinking something like that tommorrow. I find that scene very fitting because this administration seems to think its shit don't stink and in their mind should be delight to eat.
