2. I knew it was coming but when I saw the Yahoo headline I felt sick to

my stomach. It was as if it was the final insult after so many insults.

I really don't understand how this is being tolerated by those in Congress. I had hopes that there were more than a "few" heros left there.

This is serious. This means the BFEE no longer has to pretend that they will not do any and everything to tear our Contitution and form of Government apart.

I have to hope that the Astologers are correct. This appointment during Mercury retrograde will "come apart." We have to hope that somewhere there is someone working for us...because it's out of our hands and the spineless and weak in our House and Senate don't seem to be able to help our heros and patriots like Conyers, Waxman and others.

It's just really a kick in the gut. :-(

I caught a bit of an interview with someone from the Argentinean delegation to the U.N. (if I caught it right--I was running on the treadmill at the gym while the news was on). He said something to this effect: "John Bolton is a very plain-spoken man and he represents the views of President Bush. He has a blunt style that is 'middle American', so we can say that he is a fitting representative of United States views to the United Nations." Translation out of polite diplomatese: you people re-elected a moron, we have to deal with him, so maybe it's just as well that we're dealing with somebody who accurately reflects the arrogant, bullying, confrontational style of your country at the current historical moment.
