Bill Clinton Hires New Spokesman (Jay Carson - worked for Dean and DNC)
WASHINGTON (AP) - Former President Bill Clinton has hired a new spokesman, a veteran of the Howard Dean 2004 presidential campaign and New York City's 2012 Olympics bid.

Jay Carson was also a former press secretary for Sen. Tom Daschle, D-S.D., and has worked for the Democratic National Committee. Clinton's office announced Carson's hiring Tuesday.

Carson replaces Jim Kennedy, who announced he is leaving to become a spokesman for Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Kennedy has worked since 2002 as the chief spokesman for the former president. He also worked in the Clinton White House from 1998 to early 2001.

1. Hardly.No one is anymore moderate than Dean or Dashle.
Anymore "moderate" and they would be Republican!

2. Sounds like Bill wants to upgrade his triangulation/strangulation theory
of the Dem Party. He's gotta help Hillary figure out how to fool progressives and still serve corporate robber barons.

3. Let's see
You have a Dean avatar, yet you're not happy Clinton picked a former Dean spokesman. I guess Dean must've been trying to "fool progressives" when he had this guy work for him. :eyes:

5. I think s/he was trying to say that Clinton chose
Dean's spokesperson to say he "Clinton" didn't drink the kool aid. The spokesperson needs a job and it sounds like a plum position. Just MHO.

4. I agree with you - as far as public perception & media portray go,
he and Hilary are pretty inseparable, and most criticism of her is that she isn't 'liberal' enough, so he may be trying to appear less DLC...

Business as usual, I guess.

6. Tough situation.
To some it seems like a DLC upgrade, to others a more liberal pick. Interesting mind games being played by Bill.
