Palestinians stone U.S. investigators at bomb scene
http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L15587100.htm

JABALYA, Gaza Strip, Oct 15 (Reuters) - Palestinian youths throwing stones forced U.S. officials to leave as they were investigating a roadside bomb attack in which three Americans travelling in a U.S. embassy convoy were killed in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday.

The investigators filmed the wreckage with video cameras before they were briefly forced to stop when youths from the Jabalya refugee camp pelted them and their vehicles with stones. The youths shouted Allah Akbar (God is greatest).

In Ramallah, Palestinian President Yasser Arafat condemned the attack as "an ugly crime" and said he had ordered an investigation in a statement issued by the official Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Both the Islamic Jihad and Hamas militant groups spearheading a Palestinian uprising for independence denied involvement in the attack.

1. Gee, do you think the youths know the US finances Isreal's
military? They are most likely not associated with Hamas and Jihad but are some young ppl who view the US as aiding the reoccuring attacks on their ppl, their community.

3. I suspect that when they see F-16's blowing the fuck out of their country
...they probably can put two and two together.

2. The % of Palestinians who have at least one relative or friend

who has been murdered, maimed and/or tortured thanks to US funding and policy is quite high.

Add to that those who have lost property, livelihood, health, compliments of the same US & pitbull atrocity team, and you are right at 100%.

All the bush regime ass-kissing the PA does has not trickled down.

7. Not Mossad
I don't see Mossad stoning U.S. investigators trying to find evidence of this terrorist attack.

17. I'm sure the Palastinians were throwing rocks...
It's one of the only weapons they have.

I think it's the bomb's makers and users that may be a bit more cloaked in shadow. No one has claimed it as their own.

In the end it benefit's Israel's position and draws the US into the Palistinian conflict.

19. They have a lot more than rocks
Ask all the family members of the bombing victims. Or maybe those folks who survive being shot by the Palestinian terrorists.

8. Welcome George. I catch your drift.
With Islamic Jihad and Hamas denying involvment how do we know this isn't a sting? These groups always claim their kills. Good question, who benefits? Those in Israel stomping about with a 2000 year old map are the ones who benefit. This one has "stinker" written all over it.

Rock throwing is irrelevant to this story. The bombing is the story......someone needs to tell those boys that rock throwing will get them shot.

9. Mossad written all over it...
I've posted on other threads concerning this new development, and someone mentioned that:

1) a bomb as sophisticated as the one used here is generally confined to operations with a LOT of money

2) Islamic Jihad and Hamas use suicide bombers exclusively as much for the person's ability as for the symbolism

Islamic Jihad, Hamas, and Hezbollah, as despicable as their acts are, have no beef with us, at least actionable beefs, and have gone out of their way to say so publicly. They don't like us, but have said repeatedly they do not target Americans or American interests on purpose.

Israel and the Neocons need to drag us into the Israeli quagmire.

1. What was so sophisticated about the bomb?

2. How do you attack an armored vehicle in a moving convoy with a suicide bomber?

11. CNNI is saying that those killed in Gaza were Dyncorp employees

...that CNNI could just now release that info because next-of-kin had been notified. Initially, CNNI was saying that this group was in Gaza to interview students for Fulbright Scholarships.

((See this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php#537228)

As Ewagner pointed out" CIA, bodyguards, Dyncorp, "observers" of "peace" process,

Something is seriously wrong here.......

13. I haven't seen any mention of the possibility
that these guys were carrying the bomb-maybe to take out a prominent Palestinian. Ok tin hat but still... Lot of talk about the CIA involved in Venezuela bombings. Not too far fetched to think they could be stirring up trouble or getting rid of Arafat.

15. NO. We are not. We are trying to figure out a solution to the killing.
While others are trying to figure out how to escalate the killing and/or occupy land from the other side.

18. Fair's fair
You seem to be OK with Israelis murdering Americans (remember Rachel?)
so, in the interest of balance, you can hardly complain when someone
claiming to be a Palestinian does it for a change.

Please note: The primary "terrorist" organisations immediately denied
responsibility - they have no history of targetting Americans and no
possible benefit from the attack. The only current "link" to a
Palestinian origin is a single telephone call from an unknown group
claiming to be behind the outrage.

22. Very good point, Nihil.
And wasn't the mantra something like...
"if they don't want to be killed, they shouldn't be there" ?

So we could say:
Afghanistan, "if they don't want to be killed, they shouldn't be there"
Iraq, "if they don't want to be killed, they shouldn't be there"
Palistine, "if they don't want to be killed, they shouldn't be there"

BTW, the Palistinians still have to attack an americal navel vessel in international waters before they can start to come close to Isreal's attacking and killing of American citizens. Remember the USS Liberty?
http://home.cfl.rr.com/gidusko/liberty/
"Attack one American and you attack all Americans" was once proclaimed by President Clinton. More recently, an Assistant Secretary for State proclaimed that the U. S. government always protects its citizens. These are damned lies and meaningless words. These words were not true in 1967 (when Israel deliberately attacked the USS LIBERTY,) and unfortunately, and in spite of these beautiful words, they are not even true today. Moreover, there is no such thing as justice."
http://ussliberty.org/
"During the Six Day War between Israel and the Arab States, the American intelligence ship USS Liberty was attacked for 75 minutes in international waters by Israeli aircraft and motor torpedo boats. ."
http://www.washington-report.org/backissues/0693/9306019.htm
Twenty-six years have passed since that clear day on June 8, 1967 when Israel attacked the USS Liberty with aircraft and torpedo boats, killing 34 young men and wounding 171. The attack in international waters followed over nine hours of close surveillance. Israeli pilots circled the ship at low level 13 times on eight different occasions before attacking. Radio operators in Spain, Lebanon, Germany and aboard the ship itself all heard the pilots reporting to their headquarters that this was an American ship. They attacked anyway. And when the ship failed to sink, the Israeli government concocted an elaborate story to cover the crime.

Thirty-four american servicemen died and 172 were wounded by the Isrealis, and our government covers it up.

20. No Palestinian group did the bombing
Anytime a Palestinian group does a bombing, they own up to it right away. If they are denying it, they didn't do it. There are only two groups who could have or would have done this...Mossad or Al Qaeda. The Palestinians are certainly angry with America, but they also want America to see what's actually going on. Either this is Mossad trying to prevent peace or Al Qaeda has moved into Gaza to exploit Palestinians in the same way they do any muslims who are fighting for their rights.
