Festive inauguration for new Saudi king

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia -- Saudi Arabia formally inaugurated 81-year-old King Abdullah Wednesday with pledges of allegiance and congratulations from world leaders.

At a Riyadh palace, Islamic clerics, tribal chiefs and prominent national figures took part in the Islamic tradition known as bayaa, shaking the king's hand and pledging allegiance.

Before the ceremony, British Prince Charles met with Abdullah to express condolences for the death of his half-brother, King Fahd on Monday. U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, former President George H.W. Bush and French President Jacques Chirac were to meet the new king later in the day, the BBC said.

3. Ummmmmm......excuse me Mr Cheney?
Why isn't Saudi Arabia a candidate for 'regime change?' After all, I don't think its very good for you to be celebrating new kings and such. Shouldn't there be a President and a Constitution and all that stuff?
