Tancredo: Justice Differs for Immigrants

HANAHAN, S.C. (AP) - Republican Rep. Tom Tancredo told law enforcement officers that illegal immigrants are held to lower standards by the justice system than Americans.

``An illegal alien actually has a different system of justice here,'' he said Tuesday in a speech to about 30 officers. ``If you're here illegally, you can get a pass.''

Tancredo, from Colorado, has come under fire recently from some Hispanic groups for his calls for tougher immigration enforcement and a proposal to tax some of the money immigrants send outside U.S. borders.

Hispanic and Islamic groups called for his resignation in a Denver protest recently, citing Tancredo's suggestion to target Islamic holy sites if terrorists launch a nuclear attack on the United States.

does that mean we can tax the money US coporations incorporated "off shore" send outside the borders?

Tancredo better shut his trap about poor migrant workers moving around on this continent trying to find work, and start screaming about repatriating the millions in jobs and billions of dollars in profits (some of which must line his own pockets) his bosses send out of the country.

He also better shut up about blowing up Islamic holy sites. Blow up Temple Mount and a lot of Jews and Christians will be none too pleased about that, Tommy boy.

Good heavens how do people like Tancredo get into this country in the first place? That's what I'd like to know.

as the wife of an immigrant, I know that any money sent back home is earned by sweat labor, and income tax has been taken out of it before he even sees it. this guy needs to take a long walk off a short pier.
