Bush Blames Palestinian Authorities

ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE -- President Bush blamed Palestinian authorities Wednesday for the deaths of Americans in an attack in Gaza, saying their failure to create terrorist-fighting security forces "continues to cost lives."

"Palestinian authorities should have acted long ago to fight terror in all its forms," the president said in a written statement as he flew to California for an overnight visit en route to Asia.

Bush said he condemned the attack in the strongest terms and that the United States was working with authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Putting the blame squarely on the Palestinian leadership, Bush said, "The failure to create effective Palestinian security forces dedicated to fighting terror continues to cost lives. There must be an empowered prime minister who contols all Palestinian forces -- reforms that continue to be blocked by Yasser Arafat."

"The failure to undertake these reforms and dismantle the terrorist organizations constitutes the greatest obstacle to achieving the Palestinian people's dream of statehood," Bush said.

1. The original article of this bombing is on yahoo. Every Palestinian group
has denied involvement. This reeks to high heaven. We all know what this is. Now Israel is blowing up Americans to further their evil agenda. God help us all.

5. " ....will Bush now give Sharon the green light to assinate Arafat?"
Bingo! That, and invade Syria and start bombing Iran. And yet, we still have a slew of congressional Dems supporting Israel, and voting to give Bush still more power and more money, so that he and PNAC, and Sharon/Likud, can carry out their evil plans for more war. Why?

3. So, if it was the Israelis who told the Americans to go home and
enforcing that...why is it now the fault of the Palestinians for the bombings? Couldn't the Israelis have told the Americans to leave sooner? And why would they bomb Americans since their hope of witness is so limited? Yes, I know of the arab world's hate for Americans, yet atm there is no one else except for journalists who are trying to get the word out. Those journalists are from all around the world including the US.

All preplanned and *it is acting right on que :puke:

7. Remember who was against US monitors in the first place.
The Palestinians have been asking for US monitors for over 8 years. Only the US and Israel vetoed this request in the UN. It just doesn't make sense for the Palestinians to have done this. Put the pieces together and you will have the picture:

1. Perez and Palestinian leaders yesterday finished putting together a peace plan they had been working on for months. Sharon criticized Perez and accused him of being against the interest of Israel...but the peace movement inside Israel is growing.

2. The CIA is angry at Bush and his administration for trying to blame them for the bad intelligence about the Iraq WMDs and for outing one of ther operatives (Wilson's wife).

3. Bush is falling in the polls.

4. Rush Limbaugh, the conservative icon of lies and hypocrisy was caught in a drug sting and shown to be a liar and hypocrite.

5. Israel wants us to go after Syria and the American will for another war with the Arabs is decreasing...so what better way to get the Americans all riled up but to kill some more and make the Arabs or Palestinians the blame.

6. We need a major diversion away from how badly the Iraqi situation is going, how badly the situation in Afghanistan is going.

7. Israel needs a diversion to take our eyes off how extremely brutal they have been to the Palestinians (yesterday's Amnesty Report) and how they are breaking every moral and international law against humanity.

8. Every Palestinian group has denied involvement in this killing in Gaza.

Just aske yourself who has the most to gain for the Gaza bombing and you will have the answer to who is responsible.

Remember Rachel Corrie, remember the murdered journalists, remember the Liberty!

8. Has Bush forgotten that the Israelis have killed most of the security
forces that were in place in the Palestinian territories? Has he forgotten that Arafats headquarters for security was demolished by the Israelis and the homes of many who would be security forces have also been demolished by the Israelis?

10. do I see a pattern?
When we attacked the Taliban, it was the Taliban's fault. I can buy that ... things get screwy from there on ...

When we invaded Iraq, it was Saddam's fault ...

When J Lynch's convoy entered enemy territory and got attacked, it was an "ambush" - the fault of the Iraqis ...

When we bomb a residential neighborhood in Baghdad, it was Saddam's fault because he had no right to defend his cities ...

When Israel bombs Syria, it's Syria's fault and we hold them "accountable" ...

When Americans are attacked in Iraq it's the attacker's fault ... not the governing authority (Us)

But when Americas are attacked in Gaza it IS the governing authorities fault ...

Expanding on morebunk's post:

a. A Clean Break specifies that regime change in Iraq is only a first step in "rolling back Syria."

b. America gets bogged down in Iraq; no popular support for expanding the "war on terror."

c. Sharon cabinet announces decision to "remove" Arafat but won't say when or how. The world, except for America, condemns decision. (America looking bad here.)

d. Sharon bombs Syria; unclear whether Washington coordinated on this attempt at escalation. The world, except for America, condemns strike as clear violation of international law; Bush calls it "self-defense."
(American looking bad again.)

e.Israeli and Palestinian moderates draft Geneva Accords; the world loves it; Sharon hates it; Bush ignores it. (Israel looking bad.) Pressure on Sharon, on Bush -- What happened to the Road Map, Bush?

e(1). Bush vetoes UN resolution condemning apartheid wall. (America looking real bad here.)

f.Sharon has upped the ante vise-a-vise Syria; America, looking bad, is handcuffed until.......

g.Americans are attacked in Gaza.

g. FBI investigation of Gaza bombing will discover that perps are linked to.......?
