Mystery Surrounds Gaza Bombing
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Big News Network.com Thursday 16th October, 2003

Palestinian militant groups Islamic Jihad and Hamas have denied responsibility for Wednesday's Gaza attack. No group has claimed responsibility.

Three U.S. embassy security men died and a fourth was injured Wednesday, when a powerful bomb exploded shortly after they entered the Gaza Strip.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Daniel C. Kurtzer told reporters the guards, employees of a company under contract with the embassy, were accompanying diplomats who went to Gaza primarily to interview candidates for a Fulbright program.

The names of the dead have been obtained by Big News Network.com. They were John Branchizio, aged 37 from Texas, John Martin Linde, 30, from Missouri, and Mark Parson, a 31 year old New Yorker.

Looks like Americans are now being targeted! :bounce:

1. Okay! Just wait until the Google Searches start flying on just who these
folks were. Although they sound kind of young, to be too involved with BFEE.

35. Company Front does not mean CIA Payroll
Many company fronts have employees that run into the thousands and most ALL of those think they are simply working for XYZ company; and while there are always rumors - the XYZ Company laughs them off. In fact, some "company fronts" have accidentally grown into large thriving businesses! Names being released doesn't mean anything. Some of these people killed in Gaza may not know - or care - about the history of DynCorp (CSC) - CIA front that it is.

It's a company front.

Al Qaeda would make it known. It suits their purpose to take credit for this if they did it. Any other group would have claimed responsibility for this is they had done it.

7. Since the people killed were DynCorp mercenaries
and no one else has claimed responsibility, something that Hamas has never hesitated to do, we must open ourselves to the possibility that we may have a new player in the region: Al-Qaeda.

Al-Qaeda has the sophistication, the means, and the will, to dare to attack the US openly.

15. One thing to consider is that this operation might reveal such a high
level of orgnization, and the existance of moles, that taking credit would betray your intelligence operations. Hamas might have done it, but they're not going to give the US a chance to figure out how they knew who these guys were.

24. BREAKING: Israeli press reporting about a bomb factory run by Russian
Apparently he has connections to organized crime, and was selling the type of explosives, detonated by remote control, that may be similar to the device used in the Gaza bombing.

Here is the story, you decide:

Wednesday, October 15, 2003 Tishrei 19, 5764
J'lem man held for alleged bomb lab

By Jonathan Lis

Police have arrested a Jewish Jerusalem resident suspected of running a bomb factory and selling the explosives. Hanan Yadgarov, 30, was arrested last week, and police on Monday found the explosives laboratory at his parents home in the northern suburb of Pisgat Ze'ev.

Police found explosives, a ready-to-use bomb and detonators, plus several bombs in various stages of preparation, the police spokesman said. They also found police uniforms and army camouflage.

<snip>

Police believe that Yadgarov sold his explosives to criminals but are not ruling out the possibility that he planned to sell them to Palestinian militants as well. They believe that since he was willing to sell a bomb to an undercover officer who was an Arab, he might have supplied explosives to terrorists. The explosives found in his lab were of the type generally used by the underworld and detonated by remote control.

Yadgarov appeared in court on Thursday and was remanded in custody. He immigrated to Israel from the former Soviet Union 13 years ago and is married with two children. He had worked in recent few years in the pyrotechnics field and apparently gained experience in the use of explosives, police say.

27. Implicate Russia now that Putin has sent a veiled warning to Israel.
The Russian connection was ok with Israel as long as they were buying and selling Israeli weapons on the black market. And even if it was a Russian, it could be a Russian Jew with close ties to Israel...plausible deniability, you know how it works. think outside the box people.

29. why was a Israeli making bombs used against Americans
Pisgat Ze'ev is one of the favored settlements - it's mentioned in the latest peace accord.

I assume that Jewish Jerusalem resident = Israeli

But why was a Israeli making bombs that were used against Americans?

Aren't we supposed to be on the same side?

18. Baiting the U.S. in the region
Sharon's government may very well be behind this attack in Gaza to get the U.S. into the conflict big time. I completely agree with the other posts on this, it may not be the Israelis but the possibility cannot be discarded off hand either. It Could also be another "front" in the same war, over night U.S. troops exchanged gunfire with hostile forces across the Iraqi/Syrian border. Trying to pick another fight are we?......Damn this administration needs to be stopped immediately.

Maybe it has something to do with those American-made F-16's shooting missiles at their houses.

Which doesn't mean this bombing wasn't a Mossad or CIA setup.

37. Another link Haaretz reporting on this incident...quite detailed
Edited on Wed Oct-15-03 08:13 PM by tlcandie
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/350191.html

<snip>
An AP reporter saw a gray wire with an on-off
switch leading from the scene of the attack to
a small concrete room at the side of the road.
<snip>

<snip>
The IDF said the targeted jeep was the middle
vehicle of the convoy, which carried security
men and CIA personnel. A Palestinian security
van had preceded the convoy's three
armor-plated vehicles.

The CIA spokesman in Washington, Bill Harlow,
refuted the reports that CIA officials were in
the convoy, saying that "there were no CIA
people involved."
<snip>

EDIT:
Another link from EU statement ..
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/350278.html

Possibly done to get the EU to back the US/Israel in totally undermining any and all rights of Palestinians and to get Arafat out?

Busy little suckers aren't they:
-10th-largest contractor of the U.S. government.
-maintaining military aircraft in the Middle East and furnishing international police monitors in Bosnia and East Timor.
-train Iraqi police
-advise the occupation administration on reorganizing the country's law enforcement agencies
-help guard Afghanistan's leader.

- U.S. plane he piloted was shot down over Colombia, apparently by anti-government rebels.

-took U.S. military equipment to the Middle East before the war against Iraq.
- also produces smallpox and anthrax vaccines for the war against terror.

- networks all U.S. embassies abroad.
- also built a 29,000-terminal computer network for the FBI.

- guard the armored-car convoys that carry U.S. diplomats into the West Bank and Gaza,
