Bush Makes Hand-Kissing a Laugh Line

<snip>
A ploy to end the bad blood over the invasion of Iraq? A sincere effort to win his way back into the president's good graces by winning over the woman who has been known to temper her husband's occasional outbursts?

No one knows, but now Mr. Bush has found a good use for the image: as a laugh line when he raises money from Republican stalwarts.

Speaking to a lunchtime audience on Thursday in this Central Valley city, where Mr. Bush was raising in excess of $750,000, he told his audience that he planned to take his diplomatic cues in Asia over the next week from his wife. Reminding his audience of the picture of the hand kiss, he said: "I went to France and they were kind to me. But I wasn't treated that way by Jacques Chirac."
<snip>

I give up. Is he Bevis or Butthead?

1. "Sigh"
He's is a true low-life. I think both Bevis and Butthead would feel insulted to be compared to this ill-bred fool.

4. That junior is a real gas, 'eh?
When he fell off the sofa while choking, I wonder if junior was indeed licking his balls?

6. remember when he said
about the pretzel incident, he knew he was out for only a second because "his dogs stayed in the same position"? Normal loving dogs would have licked him from head to toe. You can tell his animals do not care for him.

7. "rather un-French gesture" OH?
When President Jacques Chirac of France made a show of kissing Laura Bush's hand on the first lady's recent trip to Paris, there was rampant speculation about what the rather un-French gesture meant.

Hand-kissing (and cheek-kissing for that matter) are eminently French.

I'm positive that if one had the time one could find photos of Chirac kissing Hillary's hand during Bill and Hill's visits to France.

It sounds like Shrub is rather jealous, though he surely would have preferred that Chirac kiss a more "southern" region of his miserable little body.

8. Dubya probably thinks that being kissed on both cheeks ...
... would mean that President Chirac "fancies" him! (That would probably be the greeting used, since it tends to be women who get their hands kissed ... my Paris-raised French teacher back in elementary school explained the correct technique, and naturally Monsieur le President has it down perfectly, in the pic ...

By now, thanks to the way the US media have treated Bush, he's used to being kissed on, ahem, his "other" cheeks.

10. What a sad excuse for a "statesman"
* is an embarrassment.

And does Monsieur le President Chirac know his image is being used in a fundraising effort?

something about being gealous at her being kissed and an advice that if she wanted adventure she sould have landed on an air carrier?
And let's not forget the NY post headline:

Geez Louise! The hillbillies gone to Paris and can't get over the shock!

14. It's his rotten personality
hand kissing is "sissy" and is something to be made fun of. Men who are not very sure of their own maniliness will make fun of something like that. This jerk of a little boy, wannabe president has not a single concept of the historicity of the hand kiss and it's place in culture, and obviously is a real dud when it comes to romanticism. Laura, of course, will forever keep it in her heart that Chirac in his romanticism, made her feel like a real woman and a real person in spite of all the Xanax she probably swallowed before hand. Her own pathetic husband refers to her a "lump" in the bed. Bwhahaha--but then she may deserve it. She has never shown anything other than her lumpiness. Oh poor Laura--but I have to say her ass is truly a big lump and her unsophisticated taste in clothing probably carries over to her uninspiring nightclothes--I would think that she wears long sleeved, grey flannel, turtleneck nightdresses and a tight ass girdle to bed-she just looke the type that would try to control her very fat ass in all situtations. If that is the case, as I suspect, no wonder he refers to her as a "lump" She made a show of thinking that was so "cute" of him--to call her a "lump"(at her expense of course,she knows no other way but that of the obedient, Stepford) But I bet that Laura truly appreciated Chirac's attention and his romanticism, at that point in time.
