We also demand that Dow should give compensation to all those affected by the gas tragedy. If they don’t do so, we will stop its business not only here but across the nation and force it to leave the country,” said Satinath Sandgi, activist of Bhopal Group for Information and Action.
The residents are demanding Dow company to clean up the toxic material lying in open and find suitable place for disposing it.
‘Dow Company has taken over Union carbide and now it is its responsibility to give compensation to gas victims. The toxic material which is contaminating the soil and water here, the company should take it to America. They should dispose the toxic material in their country, we won’t allow them to dispose material anywhere in India,” said Rashida Bi, victim of Bhopal gas tragedy. <snip>
