Al-Qaeda 'Top 10' attacks shown
Dubai - A video showing a so-called "Top Ten" of bloody attacks against US forces in Iraq that were claimed by al-Qaeda-linked groups appeared on an Islamist website on Wednesday.

The 17-minute video is aimed at "those who like to see American crusader blood flowing", said the group calling itself the Islam Media Front which said it posted the footage.

One segment shows American soldiers' bodies torn to pieces in an attack near the Syrian border that was claimed by the al-Qaeda Organisation in the Land of Two Rivers (Iraq), the group of Iraq's most wanted man Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

The makers of the video call on their sympathisers to "spread the video on foreign forums so that Americans will be ashamed of themselves at the weakness of their army".

5. I agree with you.
This video combined with the Abu Grahib photos and videos (released and unreleased) create a nauseating mosaic of the "damned human race," to use Mark Twain's phrase.

6. It hit me a little while ago that we do this too...
...in the form of gun camera footage- does anyone remember the video they released showing our Apache helicopters using their chainguns to literally tear apart Iraqi resistance fighters(actually, they were believed to be resistance fighters, they were in posession of a 'tube' of some sort)? The helo gunner even 'finishes one off' who is crawling away, already wounded by a blast nearby.

I guess it was easier to stomach because it was just electronically-enhanced video- didn't look real. It's no different than this, though.

A senior Army official who viewed the tape said the pilots had the legal right to kill the men because they were carrying a weapon. He said there were no ground troops in the area and if the Apache pilots had let the three Iraqis go, the men might have gone on to kill American troops.

Keane agreed. "Those weapons were obviously not being pointed at them in particular, but they are using those weapons in their minds for lethal means and they have a right to interfere with that," he said.
