BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, Oct 16 (Reuters) - For a war criminal and torturer of children, his self-description was positively banal.

Religion: Catholic.

Languages: German, Latin.

Defects: None.

If there was ever a bureaucratic version of a trip into the heart of darkness, it may lie with the discovery in Argentina of this 1949 immigration form filled in by Nazi doctor Josef Mengele to escape to South America after the Second World War.

The card surfaced as new President Nestor Kirchner, calling for an end to a "culture of impunity," earlier this year ordered the opening of thousands of secret immigration files, yellowed with age, that detailed one of Argentina's darkest episodes.

Kirchner's move came as the U.S. Congress and the Nazi-hunting Simon Wiesenthal Center urged Argentina to come clean over how previous governments helped up to 300 war criminals find new identities in South America after the war.

3. Remember "Money Talks" that is probably why Argentina's corrupt

governments took in monsters like Mengele.

What I can't understand is why they never turned over these people? How much money had traded hands and who knew what? If you think about it, eventually turning them over would have been more profitable in terms of trade and good relations.

It also pisses me off that now after more than fifty years they are opening up... Most of those old Nazis are dead now..

What happened to people in the past? Oh this long ago and past history, or it could never happen today or it’s okay, because I will never be a target for it and on and on.

Here is a very rounded site with lots of info about AH, maybe you are missing something or don't understand why people study history so I have included a picture from there that might help others trying to figure out "why does it matter". There are quite a few pictures there, but there is also a lot of info, some of it looks glossed over or whitewashed but it’s still a starting point for people totally clueless about it.

In a FORD? Here is another nice little web site with lot of in links and details. This self proclaimed well read author claims, like many should, that its hard to gleam the truth from all the false claims (a very similar situation exists today in the USA). One thing is undisputable though, that the end results and consequences are very obvious.

When a person first starts looking into this stuff for the real story its seems not so glamorous but more ugly because you find the story that revisionist have written and rewritten to fit the mood of the time, and it mostly has to do with who is buttering whose bread, and which War profiteer is in favor. Stories of Jewish owned companies carrying supplies for the third Reich well into the war are just some things that never got reported on

In it he published a series of scurrilous attacks on ‘jews’. These were published in 1920, in book form, as The International Jew, which was published around the world in many languages. The Catholic Church is implicated in both the first and second World Wars. The part played by cardinal Pacelli, later Pope Pius 12th, is well analysed in Hitler’s Pope<27>. Pacelli systematically undermined the powerful catholic Centre Party<28> negotiating them out of political action in accord with Hitler’s wishes. The Centre Party, which had been important in resisting Bismarck, was thus neutralised. The foolishness was forwarded in particular by Papen, Centre Party deputy and Weimar Chancellor; and by Kaas, who was a priest, Centre Party leader, and a Centre Party representative in the Weimar government.

A series of Weimar government leaders (Chancellors), who steadily centralised power, paved the way for Hitler’s eventual power grab.

Many of the top ‘philosophy’ and theology posts at Oxford and Cambridge have been held by catholics. Most of the British establishment come via Oxford and Cambridge, hence much of that which is ‘inconvenient’ is often not emphasised in academic writing.
