Iran removes UN's nuclear seals
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/redir.php?jid=c227c3dbfe73554f&cat=c08dd24cec417021

Iran has broken all the remaining UN seals at its nuclear plant at Isfahan, making it fully operational.
The removal was completed under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency, which has installed equipment to monitor activity.

EU countries quickly proposed a resolution to the United Nations nuclear watchdog in Vienna calling for Iran to stop the nuclear fuel work.

But Iran said again it had a right to develop nuclear technology.

The EU's draft resolution is scheduled to be heard at a meeting of the IAEA's 35-nation board on Thursday.

Matthew Boland, spokesman of the US Mission to the UN in Vienna, said: "Today's breaking of seals is yet another sign of Iran's disregard of international concerns."

But Iran's chief negotiator, Cyrus Nasseri, defended the move.

"All we want to do is to produce nuclear fuel and we are prepared to provide credible assurances to our European partners that we will not divert this to other purposes," he said.

1. This is being played as being equivalent to Iran having a nuclear bomb
NOW. In fact, the best intelligence says that they are at least 10 years away from being able to build a bomb. And why can't they have nuclear reactors like everyone else? Israel, in the meantime, has nuclear reactors and the US stance on their nuclear bomb capability is most charitably described as "don't ask, don't tell."

For more on all of this, read this thread, including the links in the replies.

Thread title: Three extremely important threads on Iran nukes & the Bush agenda

Expect more pressure for "regime change" in Iran. I wouldn't be surprised to see a pre-emptive attack by Israel. In fact, this plan, called "Project Daniel" has already been endorsed by the Bushies and there are reports that the Israelis are ready to start it.

All this and more in the linked thread.

2. Outsourcing requires regional stability.
Iran is not, per se going to affect outsourcing, but the effect on Pakistan, and therefor India will.

If Israel attacks Iran, or the US, Pakistan will have a brief civil war followed by a hot war with Israel and prophylactically, India.
Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and perhaps other States in the region will follow.

In the aftermath of that, I suspect outsourcing will be the least of our worries.
