SEOUL, South Korea - North Korea said Thursday it would "physically display its nuclear deterrent force," South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported.

The remark by an unnamed spokesman of North Korea's Foreign Ministry could be an indication that the communist regime intends to test a nuclear bomb.

"When the time comes, the DPRK will take steps to physically display its nuclear deterrent force," the North Korean spokesman told Pyongyang's state-run news agency KCNA, which was monitored by the South Korean agency. snip

For weeks, North Korea has said that it was building up its "nuclear deterrent force," a term the North uses to refer to its nuclear weapons program.

1. NK nukes
i wonder how this makes China feel. China must feel at least partially responsible for NK, as should Russia - as they have historical allied partnerships with NK. What's the solution to the NK problem?

2. The solution? Leave NK alone and it won't bite you
Why does US always have to defend itself while doing defending on the other side of the world?
My forecast is NK will eventually merge with South Korea despite all efforts by US to split these two parts of one nation. It will be a strong economic and military powerhouse, a so-called "new asian tiger" and competitor to both China and Japan in the region.

This 38th parallel division looks ridiculuous especially after Berlin Wall collapsed.

They are going to be in Asia real soon.

As for what is the solution to the NK problem? My suggestion would be to treat them as we treat any other nuclear power after they test a nuclear weapon. And that would be leave them alone and use diplomacy. There is no other choice.
