CRAWFORD, Texas -- President Bush meets with defense and foreign policy chiefs at his Texas ranch today, with Iraq topping the agenda.
The session with Defense Secretary Rumsfeld, Secretary of State Rice and other top officials comes as Iraqi politicians work to meet a Monday deadline for a new constitution. It also comes as the US death toll in Iraq continues to rise.

Commanders have hinted US troop strength in Iraq could drop next year, and aides say that's a likely discussion point in today's meeting. But Iraq is far from the only issue in what's become an annual policy retreat.
