Crude reaches another historic mark after demand agency forecast, refinery snags and Iran concerns.

LONDON (Reuters) - U.S. crude and gasoline futures rose to all-time highs Thursday as dealers continued to worry about gasoline supply amid refinery snags, sliding inventories and worries over Iran's nuclear ambitions.

NYMEX September crude hit a record $66 a barrel before easing to $65.55, up 65 cents. The previous intraday record of $65 was set Wednesday.

Yes, public transportation will become a national priority, as it should have become long ago. Perhaps some cities will become more "bicycle friendly."

19. I paid 2.53 a gallon this AM in upstate NY

I was really pissed when I realized that the station across the way had gas at 2.47. Just drove by tonight and the cheaper station now has gas at 2.55. I didn't notice what the other station is selling gas for now. This is getting really hard. I am a sales rep and I travel my upstate NY territory alot. It's a big state. if this keeps up and we have a hard winter alot of people are going to be really hurting. home heating oil costs will be devastating for many of us.

Which means the cheapest gas in the golden state is no cheaper than $2.60. We have the cheapest gas in the state usually. So cheap that lots of folks commute 35 miles and 2000 feet uphill to surrounding foothill homes.

For some contractor types their daily commute is now costing them $15 or $20. Ouch.
