Al-Qaeda says will kill Iraq constitution drafters
Al-Qaeda's Iraqi branch said it would kill anyone taking part in drafting the country's new constitution or in the ensuing referendum to approve the document, according to Agence France-Presse, citing an Internet statement.

'The tribunal has decided to apply the order of Allah: kill whoever assumes the right to be a partner of God and draws up a null and void constitution ... the tribunal has also decided to ... strike at referendum voting stations,' it said.

1. So that's it, is it?
Well. . . . . time to go home folks: al-Shithead Inc. has spoken.

Wouldn't want to get in trouble with Allah, now would we?

2. One has to wonder...

what are the stances of all the political leaders involved in the new Iraq. Conflicts with US interests? Conflicts with Israeli interests? If yes, then we should ask who really is Al-Qaeda in Iraq in the light of the answers of the previous questions.

5. Good question Mr. Moose
For whom to the constitution drafters toil? (They toil not for you)

http://www.nytimes.com/cfr/international/slot2_051205.html

From the article:

Iraqis formed a constitutional committee composed of 55 members of the National Assembly. The United Iraqi Alliance (UIA), the predominately Shiite coalition of Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari, has 28 spots on the committee, giving it a one-seat majority. The Kurdish alliance, composed of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), has 15 seats. Prime Minister Ayad Allawi's secular Sunni-Shiite parliamentary bloc has eight seats. The remaining four seats are held by a communist, a Turkman, a Christian, and a Sunni Arab, according to news reports.

I do believe they added close to 20 Sunni Arab representatives, making the total number of members of the committee 75. I read on DU a short while back less that 10 members were women. Note: Allawi is no longer Prime Minister.

First I will tell you all my secret diabolical plans to destroy the earth and then I will do it.

Wouldn't it just be more of a surprise if they just did it, then told us they were responsible?

call me kooky, I write scripts and I'll tell you, this shit reads like a bad secret agent movie.

6. Unfortunately so
Whether these Al-Qaeda types have been trained by Western intelligence services or not, these people have been so throughly emerced in Hollywood movie cliches that they can't help but look like third rate James Bond villains.

I mean really, 'The tribunal has decided to apply the order of Allah: kill whoever assumes the right to be a partner of God' etc. Is this guy auditioning for the next Steven Segal film?

7. Assume it is poor translation or perhaps they really
write in that fashion. When I read bin Laden's trash, every third sentence seemed to have "allah be praised" or allah this or allah that.

"God Bless, America," is so much better, isn't it?
